Iraq, is it Vietnam yet?

The 9 ninnies running for the Democrat presidential nomination and the mainstream media seem to think so. I will admit it sucks to see so many of our guys dying over there. But I think that is just part of what happens to no-muslims in a muslim country. The potential good we can do by sticking it out and helping establish a quality self-rule style government there will help all Arab nations.
I think we've got as good a handle as we can have on things there, what about y'all? Do you think this thing is costing too many lives to be worth while?

I don't know and neither does our President.

It's a good cause but is it gonna be worth the price? Only time will tell

To hell with what is best for the arab nations. I'm in it for us. But I think that a democratic arab country is definately in our best interests, so let's get it done.

I am tired of our liberal media making us think that it is one big hornets nest. I'd love to see some of the success stories that I believe are happening there too.

The only similarity that I see is that they arent going full scale like I would like to see, it seems like they are just pissing around. A few days bombing and a couple weeks shooting aint enough, I wanna see them take care of it like we did Japan.....

i don't see the similiarities yet....we haven't come close to losing the # of men and women that we did in Vietnam.....sucks that we have to lose any lives but that's part of the job they signed up for....and if we do pull out now then all those lives will have been lost for nothing which is unacceptable.

At this time a see few real simularities.

I do not think the planners/administration/whoever gave enough real thought to the post combat portion of this operation.

I do belive pulling out would cheapen the lives lost.
