I think mine would be a tie.
The first one, me and a friend of mine decided to video a hunt back around '94. I tried my best to get him to climb a tree beside me, but he wouldnt have it. He wanted to sit on the ground... About an hour before dark a big doe walked by at about 20 yards and he couldnt see it from where he was. I could have shot it a hundred times, but was waiting and hoping it would get where he could video it.
The next year I gave him a bow and we were hunting together a lot. He had been seeing some does on a powerline on his way in and out so I decided to hunt the powerline. We got there kind of late and neither of us had ever hunted the powerline(public land) so there were no trees limbed. I decided to climb a pine that had cedars grown all around it. I had to cut a crapload of limbs on the way up. When I started to pull the bow up my quiver hung on a limb and pulled all my arrows out... I climbed back down and put them all back in then went back up. By this time it was about 45 minutes before dark and Travis was only like 70 yards from me. I started pulling the bow up again and the same thing happened! I decided it was too late to be messing around anymore and just sat there arrowless. About 5 minutes later 3 does and a spike walked out and started feeding. They stayed until Travis started climbing down. I got to watch em play and the spike made a little rub... If only I had an arrow...They fed all around me from probably 5yds to 40yds....
Watching that 8 walk to Mike in Illinois is right there with these also. I just wish I could have seen it when he shot...
