I shot a BowTech General at the local Proshop before I went to Illinois. (they tricked me into it while they were tuning the backup PSE) My Buckmaster was shooting 265FPS before I switched to carbons, but it is like 41" axle to axle. I have been wanting a shorter bow for a while. The PSE "The Beast ProShop Series" I have is 36", but its "only" a 60# bow and is shooting like 243 fps I think. I am not sure if I would be happy with the speed of the General, and have been thinking about an Allegiance. Have any of yall shot one? Id like to Stay around 33" axle to axle or shorter.

The Allegiance is the way to go IMO. I have shot Mathews, Bowtech and most other brands. For speed and just a SWEET shooter the Allegiance wins hands down. But shoot them all, some peoples taste is not as good as mine. LOL

A buddy at work had a High Country Supreme that he had hunted with for several years and he decided he wanted to buy something different, so i ask how much he would take for it. He said it wasn't for sale, but he ended up giving it to me before Christmas. I got around to shooting it some yesterday and I believe It will end up being my "hunting" bow. It's hard to explain but it is the hardest hitting bow I've ever shot.......I guess it's the speed and I know by todays standards it's probably slow, but for a older bow it's sure a sweet shooter.

Take it to a bowshop and have the poundage turned down as much as they can. Get them to fit it to you. Then get em to match you some arrows to it. After that its all about practice.
