Finally found the white tail bucks.Took a look in an area we've suspected them to be and it finally paid off.I got into the area before sun up and caught 3 bucks feeding in a standing barly field. They're not big bucks, bout the same size as the ones we shot last Nov., 8 pointers. Are they ever jumpy though. It was raining and the wind was swirling, they must of caught my scent and all 3 booked it and headed thru the barly and didn't stop till they were on the edge of a coulee and walked into it out of my sight. We suspect the land owner has been shooting at them,he hates them and told us to kill every damn one of them we see . My pard went back last night for another look see ,he didn't see the 3 bucks but saw another big 10 point on the edge of a poplar stand. Then to his surprize a bull and cow moose walked out of the stand of poplars and watched him.Said they looked so out of place there. The bull has about a 35 inch spread, not a big bull but he has the potenial to be a big one if no one poaches him. That zone just opened a season on moose but by draw only. Saw some great mule deer bucks again but I can't hunt them as I have a special mule deer tag in another zone and can't use it here .
