NOPE... but I've felt pretty low a couple times. It's just too cool to quit. Just have to make sure we do it better the next time. Sometimes(well usually I guess) what we think we saw isn't exactly what it was. Too often we see what we want to see. An angle slightly off, a deer ducking, a flaw in the equipment(sharp broadhead etc) and the best laid plans can go amuck. It's pretty much a trueism that a deer stuck properly won't make it very far. Most will fall within 50-60 yards. Those that go more than 100 or 150 usually are shots that desired a little bit more of something...either from the hunter or the equipment. But give up.... NEVER. I've seen my arrow do it's job so quickly on dozens and dozens of occasions. I've seen me mess up a few times. It just sucks. I have gone for 10 years without a misshap and then had 3 in one week 3 years ago. I had already shot 5 deer that year and then had 3 screw ups in 8 days. In retrospect... 2 of them were my fault for sure and one was just bowhunting in thick stuff. See you in the woods next fall Fl

I, too, hunt in the rain and next to (or in) swamps with a bow. I've tried everything and what seems to work best for me is a string tracker. I keep my shots to under 20 yards and the arrow flight in not effected. I'm not saying that it works every time, it doesn't take much to break 17# nylon thread, but it works better than 95% of the time. This want help on the last one but it might prevent the next one. Don't quit, it's just to much fun.
