I use Wasp 3 blade just because that was what was recomended to me when I started bow hunting and have never had any problems with them so never tried anything else.

I shoot a three blade muzzy 75 grian , and would not shoot nutin else .

I shoot a three blade muzzy 75 grian , and would not shoot nutin else . that's what i use...started with them and love them too....wonder at times if i should go to a higher grain but i always end up buyin' more 75's. |

I use 4 blade. More cutting area the better.

I use a 2 blade expandable. Im going to try some 2 blade fived next year I think. Ive been looking at the Magnus Stinger. I have been using vortex.

I use a 3 blade mechanical.Just started with them and they work just fine and see no reason to change.

I shoot the 2 blade Vortex expandables. . . dont see myself changing for a long time. . . . . suckers are bad!  |

I shoot 3 Blade Thunderheads. I do it because I want at least 3 blades for more blood and New Archery doesn't make a 4 blade 125 grain Thunderhead.  |

that's what i use...started with them and love them too....wonder at times if i should go to a higher grain but i always end up buyin' more 75's. if it aint broke dont fix it.  i use the 125gr. magnus stingers. they fly really well, AND have a lifetime guarantee |

 I use Muzzy 3 Blade 100gn,when I started Bow-Hunting I asked everyone I knew what they used,those who wern`t useing Mechanical were useing Muzzy 3 Blade`s and had NO problems. I like the way the Blades Interlock in the head.........Don`t think I`ll ever change !!!

Experiment with different heads and styles to determine what flies best out of your bow and use it. Or; if you have a head that you really like, tune your bow and arrow combination so as that head flies straight and true.
More blades and/or larger blades do cut more but keep in mind some fixed blade heads have a tendancy to wind plane which can cause inconsistent flight and accuracy if not tuned properly.
Theorectically if bow and arrows are tuned properly your field points and broadheads should have the same point of impact and consistency but I have never been able to achieve that level of accuracy or consistency with fixed blade broadheads.
Most mechanical heads fly very straight and much like your field points. These heads work well on good broadside hits but would caution about attempting sharp angled shots unless very close. Also, a mechanical requires good power to open up and work as it was designed. Therefore, I think long shots with a mechanical head should not be attempted.
Keep in mind a bow is a very short range weapon. I learned this lesson many years ago and at the expense of some animals. I have since resigned myself to and have suggested to others to keep bow shots under 20 yards and wait for a good broadside or slightly quartering away shot opportunity. Once I started doing this, my kill percentage went to 100%.

I am using a 2 blade disine. its the Phantom 115gr.
"its the 125gr with bleader blades but if you leave out the bleader blades its 10gr less"
the fly realy well and they are acerat.
i like the simple disine of the head. they are a one peace disine copying the old Fread bear disine. i like thme and the shot good in all our bows.
my cousion is trying to dicied between them and the g-5 montecs 3 blade.
last year he had a problem with muzzys or should i say some thing went wrong and he was using the muzzy heads.
he shot a buck but as he reliced the deer moved the arrow hit in the sholder blade.
there was not much pinatration at all.
the arrow broke after the deer started running the recover peace of it was only 4 in or so short so i am gussing at only 4 in penatration.
btw his setup was a mathews
'max" i think. goldtips arowes 10.5 gr per in. muzzy 125 3blade. the set up cronigraphed at 262 at the local pro shop.
