complete passthrough. shot him a little far back. my arrow had bright red blood on it from tip to nock. he jumped in the creek and crossed to the other side. to make a long story short, them dang shockwaves must have not opened like they were supposed to, because there was very little blood, just a small spot ever several yds. I gave him 2 1/2 hours(evidently not long enough) then me and my B-I-L tracked him and jumped him up about 150 yds from the creek. there was very little blood where he was layin. I'm takin them shockwaves back to walmart and gettin my money back, and I'm goin back to steelheads. I know they work like their supposed to.

It's hard to blame the broadhead when you yourself admit to less than great shot placement. What we think we see is not always what really happened. I don't like the broadhead either, but we must keep it all in perspective. Bad shot placement can lead to bad things. Since the deer bedded not a long way from where he was shot and then was able to get up and bug out 2 1/2 hours later.... I'd say we got some major intestine action and maybe marginal vitals.

yea mud, this was the first time I've used them. old crow told me he knew a guy that had shot 5 deer with the shockwaves, and lost them all. so, you two smart*&*, I'd say there's a perty good chance the broadhead failed. I've shot a lot of deer a little far back, and with a complete passthrough found ever one of em. so cram your smart*&* answers up your cracks! oh, of course ya'll always make perfect shots, I forgot.

Easy there big fella Do you disagree with that? I was simply agreeing with Dave on that point. It was meant to acknowledge that Dave was right on the money with his assesment of the shot. You are getting kinda pissy lately I mean with the whole neck shot thing at HNI and a few other times you have jumped on people.

but if you insist on hackin people up for their opinions, I've got one for you...
My opinion, I sure as hell hope he told you this AFTER you used the broadhead and not before you used it. I KNOW you are smarter than that.

Almost everytime I hear of a story about a broadhead not opening there is always a key point hidden somewhere. Usually something like I hit him a little back or a little high. Yeah , I agree wholeheartedly! But , be carefull when you point that out to bogobble! Then you become the "smarta**" then after he calls ya names he'll email the mods crying like a school girl cuz ya didn't agree with him!!!!!!!!!

Gee, I don't think I've ever been called a Smart *&* before. Can you say that on public talk forums. ;D I have been called worse... and probably rightly so... but it's still nice to achieve these milestones in life. A True Smart *&*. ;D

Bogobble, I have used 125 broadheads for years now. I personally don't like the thought of the mechanicals. I know if I shoot it with a broadhead, the broadhead will do its job. Sorry that you lost your deer and better luck next time.

Bogobble,
I would like to apologize if you will accept it.
You made the post about your experience and it took a turn for the worse. You could get this kind of treatment at HNI but it is really unexpected here. I am sorry that you lost the deer and wish you nothing but success in the future.

mr 4pt, your not the one who should be appoligizing here. it should be me. sorry I brought you into this, you said nothin wrong. and I'm sorry about the dog thread to.
might as well get it out in the open. my problem is with davidmil. it never fails when he replies to my post he's gotta have a smart**& remark. and I just don't care for an egotistical, arrogant, conceded, know -it-all, that makes it a point on almost ever one of his post to brag on his knowledge of huntin, and how many deer he's killed. I know I ain't the only one that notices this.
as far as you bowfartnatic, that is a lie straight out of hell. just ask the moderators here how many times I cry like a school girl if I don't get my way. the real problem is, all you smartjacks that came over from huntin.net want to bring your pissy tatics over here at SHF. you can kiss my crack boy!
now, if you administrators or moderators want to ban me for tellin the truth have at it. don't matter to me anymore.
