Just got back from the vet, alone.Had to put one of my setters down. His hips went out and it seemed so fast.Had him pheasant hunting on saturday and we had to quit after an hour.I had to lift him into the truck and lift him down when we got home.He couldn't stand for five minutes on sunday and wouldn't even eat.Vet confirmed our suspicions and we did the kindest thing we could do for him,ans sent him to the happy hunting grounds.

Hate to hear that Blue, in the last year alone me and the wife have lost four dogs that have been in the family for seven or more years, three were beagles that were retired from back when I use to rabbit hunt and the other was a seventeen year old german sheppard that was almost human at times.

Condolences to you Blue. That was the toughest thing I ever did but it was the right decision at the time. That made me feel a little better about it and I hope it helped you too.
