Thanks the male is about as good of hound as I have ever had. He goes back to OO Grant and Del Cameron breeding both top and bottom. He is a uncle to the younger female, she carrys both Del Cameron and OO Grant, Vaughn, breeding top and bottom as well. Since I pleasure hunt 99% of the time they suit me fro my style of hunting, cold nose, work a track and put meat up the tree.

hardwoodrunner, I've been out of coon hunting for awhile but I remember a breed that was called Majestic's or something like that. They were mostly used for big cats and bear but at about the time I gave it up, they were becoming a popular breed for coon hunting. They were huge hounds and I'm guessing they had some bloodhound in the line somewhere. My question is.......Do you hear much about them any more or are they pretty much a thing of the past?

I have only seen 1 that was a Majestic in my life. If you look on Shadtree Big Game Forum they have a message board on the Majestic's Hounds. By the message board there are still a few around, good looking hounds. I have a friend in on that message board that has 1 about a yr or so old. I go and hunt with him every Feb. He and I are on the Board of Directors of the American Blue Gascon Hound Assocation, he is past Presdient as well. The Majestic that he has came from a guy in TX. I think I am right on that. Larry might not have his computer working yet,he was in the big storm a few weeks ago he lives about 90 miles North of NO
