Just got back from Des Moines, Iowa. I've been gone since last Tues for our company's annual sales meeting.
Here's a tip........IT'S FREEKIN COLD IN IOWA!
Anyways, Friday night at our awards ceremony, I won the Platinum Club Award, which is awarded to the best preforming sales manager in the company. It was a total shock, I knew I had a good year but I never imagined the numbers were that good.
10.1% over sales budget
20% over gross profit dollars budget
What does that get you? A nice framed certificate, a Bulova watch (haven't determined value yet but I would guess over $300), and........an all expense paid trip for me and my wife to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! They told me I could bring some $$ if I wanted but I wouldn't need it, 100% paid..even if we want to charter a fishing boat, jet ski, snorkle, whatever....es grata.
We leave Jan 8 and return on the 11th. Can you say "rednecks do Meh-hico?"
