Does anyone use it? A guy I know upgraded my computer to do some freelance stuff for his company and installed ICQ so we could communicate since the internet tied up my phone line. I think I got him deleted from my groups, but if I'm still on his group, will it alert him anytime I'm on? It's kind of invasive in that sense but the boy still owes me $ and I don't have a lot to do with him.
Can he still "spy" on me? And, do any of y'all use ICQ?

What is an ICQ? I've seen the term before but I have no idea what it is.

If you stay invisible he should not be able to see you..But if you want to go visible all you have to do is block his name and number from your ICQ..I used to have ICQ but never did re download it when I got my new computer..I hope this helps some!

SH, ICQ is just another instant messaging service like Yahoo IM or AOL IM.
KyBG, If I have deleted his name from my group can he still see when I'm online? Not that big of a deal, but after I saw how he had my ICQ set up, he could tell anytime I was on.
I'm seriously thinking about deleting it altogether. Thanks for the replies.

Okay that I am not sure of if they can still see you once you block them..I had not thought of that..I have blocked people before but after that I of course have not heard from them..So I honestly don't know if they can still see when you are online or not..And if they do they will get a message that they are blocked I believe! |

Dude ICQ sucks delete it. I tried it a couple times but obviously its easy to hack. And NEVER put your real name and where youre from on that crap, I got a phone call at 1am once cause someone looked my # up after seeing my name and town.

That about rips it. It's going away. This is really the only place I would use an IM service and I don't see anyone else but me with that goofy lookin' ICQ flower under their name. Plus, it's a dang short list of folks that I'd take a call from at 1 am.

H4, he ain't worth a visit but I appreciate the thought. He's just off of 720 in northeast Frisco - not too far from you and pretty close to the lake. Maybe we should take him for a boatride.
