Tell me what brand you're shooting and what the load is and I'll find all the trajectory info for you.

Hi There, Err I am seriously confused here how can some one go out hunting with out sighting in with the ammo they are going to use. Surely after sighting in a couple of shots at a another couple of targets at further distances will sort out how it performs in YOUR gun. Natelie, If you think it's expensive in the US try shopping for shooting stuff or just about anything here in the UK. Diesel fuels is about $8 per gallon, a 1lb tub od Hodgdons powder for reloading is about $60, a box of Speer 165 grn .308 bullets for reloading is about $41 and a Mossberg 935 cammo is $963 new

K.....
At 25 yards, you should be 1.3 inches high. At 50 yards, you should be 2.7 inches high. At 75 yards, you should be 2.3 inches high. At 100 yards, you should be dead on at 0.0. At 125 yards, you should be -4.6 inches.
That info is straight from Winchester.
Hope this helps. Let us know how the sighting in goes.

Ok......it seems that the Partition Gold has CONSIDERABLY more ass that the other round does.
Here ya go:
At 25 yards, you should be .7 inches high. At 50 yards, you should be 2.1 inches high. At 75 yards, you should be 2.8 inches high. At 100 yards, you should be ALSO 2.8 inches high. At 125 yards, you should be 1.9 inches high. At 150 yards, you should be 0.0. Dead on! At 175 yards, you should be - 2.9 inches low.
Let me know how this one turns out. Good luck.

Much flatter......the same trajectory at 75 as 100.
If you zero your gun at 25, it'll be on at 150. With a MAX difference of 2.1 inches. That's pretty flat for a slug.
Simply, 2 inches does NOT make a big difference with a slug. The amount of tissue damage at impact, even at 2 inches high, will drop what you are aiming at like you cut the legs out from under it.
If you are WAY high, you'll get a spine shot and he'll buckle.
