Bro....I took mine out yesterday and only put 3 rounds through is. That's about all I can handle.
I'm gonna take the but pad off of it and put a Limb Saver on it and see if I can get someone to port the barrel.
I've been wanting to put a new scope on it but I don't want to re-zero it until I get the pad and the ports.

I havent wanted to shoot it yet cause of the tooth. Im thinking about putting the new scope I got from Cabelas (6-18x44) on it and putting that 3-9x50 Tasco thats on it now on the 25-06.

I like wood stocks better too, but as rough as I am on them I get better service from a synthetic...

(if it is a Savage I understand, good gun but they will beat you up)

(if it is a Savage I understand, good gun but they will beat you up) Winchester model 70. I put a slip on but pad on it and it's still a killer. And Blue.....I run 150gr. Power Point Plus Winchester Supreme through it.

Hunt,I have the Win. Mod 70 too.The only time I really feel it is when I run full house load pushing a 175gr bullet thru it. Right now I'm loading 58.5 gr of 4831 with a 154 gr spitzer.that load has accounted for many deer and moose.

I know if I need to put it down, regardless of how big it is, that's the gun to do it. Maybe those Power Point Plus are loaded hot......That's all I ever shot out of it......It zeroed in 12 rounds and I just kept using what I zeroed it with. I'm a pretty big boy and at least like to THINK I'm not a pansy (DS) but that gun just plain ain't no fun to shoot.

I still think you are a pansy. I really dont think it is that bad. May be the way you sit at the bench, I know that does make a lot of difference.

Its naked again.. I sold the 6-18x44 Cabelas scope that was on it to a guy at work. Im going to see if I cant find a deal on Ebay or something for a mid/high end scope. I think the cheapest im going to look into is a Burris.
