This will be the first year in a long time I havent bought a new rifle before deer season. I guess those 2 .22s I bought a while back will have to do.

LOL dude. I rarely even buy ammo before a season. I think I might have to get me something new this year though just for the hell of it. I have been wanting a Garrand or a K98 for a too long now.

Red......you're a vet?
Check out hte CMP program.....you can get a Garand for dirt cheap and even ask them for a colector grade rifle.

Yep ;D Hump4Fun is correct, If you need an M1 that's THE place to go. Documented Gov't M1 from Anniston Army Depot for +/- $500 or you can try your luck at the local gun show.  I've been VERRRRY happy with EVERYTHING they've sent me. The Remington 1903A4 they sent me for $400 in 99 (?) required some serious barrel cleaning, but then again, it's worth about $2K today. EVERYTHING I bought from the CMP was by FAR better price/quality than what I could do on the open market. Go for it. |
