has any one had any dealing with the sar-3?
it a ak-47 or 74 look alike built in romaina and chamberd in 223.
i some how got one in a trade i have shot it some no problems yet. i have put about 100 rd through it the guy i got it from said he put about 50 through it.
it was in one of thoes deals just to good to pass up.
the guy was sealing his 223 guns to get a viepr ak47 in 7.62x39.
i walked away with a stanless min-14 with 2-5rd 1-20rd 2-30rd and 1-40rd mags. and the sar -3 with 2 30 rd mags and about 600 rd of ammo "mostly fmj 109's natos" and some hp and sp ammo for less than the min-14 would have cost new. the 14 came with a ram line stock and the factory stock.
i plan on keeping the 14 but am not sure about the sar-3 yet so any info would be helpfull.
i think i can trade the sar-3 for one of 2 guns from another frind they are a win 94 traper in 44mag and a win 94 30-30 old west comitrive.
the comritive has been shot so the colecter valiou is gone but its a good lookig gun non the less.
so keep the sar-3? or not if trade for which one?

Seen a guy at the range with one. Looked pretty good. Nice wood and all.....still smelled like stain. We took it apart and it seemed to be pretty well made and shot great groups, if there is such think for an AK type. I think you can find em at gun shows for less than $400. That's a tough trade though......I don't know which one I'd want more........prolly the M94 simply because of the potential value of it later on.......the only thing is; you can't shoot the M94 alot and still retain the value of it.

If you got the cash, keep the SAR and pay for the M94.

the 94 colicter value is shot allready.
the gun has not been abused but you can tell its actuaol been hunted with and used a good bit. so the colecters intrest should be gone all ready.
the reasion i was debating on geting read of the sar was i dont realy know any thing about except is a civillin version "223" insted of the russ block cals. mags are hared to find for it "at least the good ones around here"
and i was a little concernd of parts avalibiltyt if some things goes wrong with it.

I don't think I would worry about having to replace any parts.
