Every time i have taken my .25-06 to the range i have came home disgusted with it. went today and couldnt keep it on the paper at 100 yards and was makin like 6 inch groups at 50. I thought well maybe its me so i broke out the 30-06 and was tackin em right in there. I let my buddy shoot it to and the same thing was happening. I think im gonna sell it, its a h+r sb2 ultra .25-06 with a bushnell 4-12 scope on it, im thinkin about askin 250 you think that sounds like a reasonable price? or should i go lower or higher. (i'm wanting to get me a good .22 set up something i can drive tacks with)

Wow, bro!!
How old is the rifle? Did you buy it new? How many rounds have gone through it?
That's VERY uncommon to shoot groups like that with a .25-06. Maybe you should contact H&R to see if they will re-barrel it.

Before you sell it, check the scope & mounts. I had a scope break a cross-hair that wasn't easily noticed. It gave me a fit trying to sight it in. Changed scopes & had no problems. Also had a gun a the mount screw became loose. couldn't hit the broad side of a barn til I found the loose screw (the one in the gun...not my head).

Its all about finding the bullets it likes man. I went from 8" to 1/2" at 100 by finding the bullets my AR15 likes.

Definately check that scope and the bases.I know there are a few lemons in the rifle world but don't discount it yet.
I'm predjudice against Bushnell scopes to begin with,I don't think they're very good.

Dookie happens. Don't be so hard on yourself cuz. I know this guy that went goose hunting and left his shotgun the truck all the way across the lake.

Hi All, Well I know someone who drove 100 miles to go hunting, got to the woods which the hunt was taking place in to find that he had a rifle in one calibre and ammunition in a different calibre: Doh! I wonder who that could have been?
