357 mag on deer and hogs and black bear?

to get some post back in here i am going to pull up some old debates and see what yall think about them.


As far as the 357 goes i will say yes its efective on the above game.

with lemets.
#1 it depends on the persion behind the gun.
#2 proper bullets
#3 range.

are there better hg rounds for game yes is the 357 aduicat yes and with good shot placement evry efective.

BTW i have taken hogs and deer with it. all with heavy loads.

I think I would take a deer at less than 40 yards with a hot .357 and a hog at less than 40 with a *GOOD* shot opportunity.

I can safely say that a hot .357 would do the job with effective shot placement. I've seen what a .357 will do on impact and it penetrates well.
