Went ice fishing on a lake east of my place yesterday.It's got rainbow trout and I few pike I hear.
Action was hot right from the git go.We had four holes punched in at around 8 a.m.,and by 8:01 I had the first trout flipping on the ice,a fat 12 incher.The next half hour I iced 4 more,including a 3.5 pounder.Action got sporadic after an hour and it was just a hit here and there.Finally the bite picked up again and we finished out the day landing 25 trout,we kept 17 for the smoker.
