Man those are some nice fish. Never been striper fishing but I know the Ohio River has some big ones. Dang I bet those bad boys are a fun fight. Congratulations on the payday! Bill

WR I can't believe you reported broken lines! You know they make line in all sizes---keep getting bigger and bigger line till it holds Never mind Ya'll would probably be depressed to find out your lines were being broken by a 4 pound flathead with a bad attitude

You usually don't lose them during the fight. You usually lose them on the initail hook set. CatfishBilly- they are an awesome fight and river runners are the best. We catch them in a huge lake and a river here and the river runners that have come down from the Chesapeake Bay are awesome.

Short hair's right .... But the thing is when you fishing in 4ft of water on bottom , There are a buch of rocks for them to run your lines acroos before you lock it down and set the hook.. And for bigger lines , Well strippers are a little pickie ;D We never use more than 25lb test , Just lossin our drag a little . ;D You lose some and win some as at anything else we do.
