I am fixin to revamp my plastics box and I want to pretty much get rid of everything. I'll replace some old faithfuls but I would like to know what colors to add.
What styles and colors work best for ya'll? I mean, tubes, frys, assasins.....what do I need?
Then, as far as color, what are the general go-to colors that ya'll use?
BTW, these are bass plastics only!!

6" black rubber worms and 6" dark purple with the fire tail. Watermellon lizzards are good to me too.

We used to kill 'em with black/firetail on Grapevine. Blue Fleck is my go-to color now though. Seems to work in these mud bottom lakes pretty well. Pumpkinseed or motor oil would be a close second.
The tomato core is a good color for clear water, but as you know there ain't much of that around here.

i have alot of good luck with the zoom worms, watermelon red is what i like to use, hook them through the center of the worm with weedleess hook where both ends dangle down, throw it out give a few jerks, reel, give a few jerks, reel , looks awesom in the water.

motor oil is my favorite with the black or blue with red tail a close second
don't forget your salamanders for when they are bedding...a bass will hit a salamander even when it's not hungry

Yeah....I went and bought new lizzards the other day after researching the types of salamanders we have in our area and the colors they are. I got lizzards that are exactly the same color.

Yeah....I went and bought new lizzards the other day after researching the types of salamanders we have in our area and the colors they are. I got lizzards that are exactly the same color. The colors have more to do with pH of the water and of course the water clarity. They don't have to look realistic. I mean what in nature looks like a spinnerbait?

True.....
I've never had real good luck with plastics so that's the reason for the revamp.
I figured that if salamanders are raiding beds, I'd at least get the same types of salamanders that we have here.

I have some tubes also......never had any luck with them either. But I still keep em in the same colors I keep all my jig/pig combos in.

Plastics are usually my first choice when it comes to bass fishing but I've only used tube baits on schooling white bass.

Ok....I meant to post this earlier but here's what I got:
a pak of 10 inch worms in silver/blue a pak of blue tube lizards a pak of pumkin flake tube lizards a pak of aqua/gold flake fries a pak of 6 inch worms in red/blue flake a pak of 3 inch tubes in watermelon flake a pak of 3 inch tubes in crawfish flake a pak of 8 inch lizards in blue/silver flake a pak of 8 inch lizards in purple/red flake
Got em all at Walmart off the clearance isle and paid less than $15 for everything.
I generally stuck with FLW (Walmart brand), Strike King and Berkley (Power Bait) mainlly because the were at a fabulous price.
I got rid of almost all of my plastics with the exception of the grubs. It was just damn near a complete re-vamp of my entire plastic tray.
