What Blue said. I'll get out just to get out. Lucky for me, I can build a fire in all my fishing spots. That helps a bunch when it gets below 40.

We have saugers here in Ohio, only in a few rivers. The DNR has stocked Saugeyes in some of the rivers and lakes throughout the state. We fish for them the same as saugers, jig and minnow, minnow on a slip float. They get a little larger than sauger. This is winter time open water fishing. We fish on the down river side of dam's Here in Ohio a 1 or 2 lb sauger is a good one. About the Saugeye www.dnr.state.oh.us/wildlife/feature/fishf/saugeye0803.htm

hoythunter48 --- I live and do most of my fishing in northern Ohio. I'm about 25 minutes from lake Erie. About this time of year I'll get down to the central part of the state and fish some of the rivers, as soon as we get good ice up here in the north I'll start ice fishing some of the local reservoirs and Erie. I have fished the Ohio.--- Green up dam in scioto county --- Dam #16 ---Willow Island and some around Weirton, Eat Liverpool and Martins Ferry.
