Well, its about time, but I finally got to drop the hammer today. I got home from work, and went to check traps. I unloaded the snowmobile and did a quick check of the traps. Nuttin. I start heading back to the farm, and decide to go sit a while, it was a nice evening. So, I pull the snowmobile up to the 4 corners of fields, and shut off the snowmobile. There was a bit of a wind blowing from the southeast, but not too bad. I sat about 5 minutes, and I spot a coyote nosing around in a field. He was a heck a long ways out there, so I decide to see if I can get a little closer. As soon as I started up the snowmobile, it looks my way, and starts running from the woods. I stopped the snowmobile, scratch the .223 out of the case, load it up, and it stops out in the field. With the wind blowing like it was, and with the distance between us, I used the windshield as a rifle rest. ;D I put the cross hairs 2 feet above its back, and held 1/2 way back the body. I hit the trigger, and the coyote started spinning like a top, and dropped over. I couldnt believe I hit it. I started up the snowmobile and drove to the coyote, it was just a touch over 3/10's of a mile. ;D ;D ;D Not a huge coyote by any means, about 25 pounds, but a very nicely furred critter. So, the virginity has finally been stripped from this gun, now its time to make it a whore. ;D ;D

Bucktales 528 yards is a awesome shot for that 223. It just shows you know how your gun works and what it is capable of CONGRATS. Very nice looking yote as well
