Well, I'm going back under Radiation & Chemo, so I'll probably get too weak to walk the woods in pursuit of squirrels, but the yards are full. Too settled for the .22Mag and the Citora is too loud. After some serious thought (about 10mins) I contacted Cabelas' and ordered the Gamo .177cal. Hunter Extreme spitt'n PBA ammo at 1600fps which is 25% more velocity, penertration and energy than regular pellets. Comes with solid mount 3x9x50mm scope. Now, even if I can't get into the woods, I can sit on the patio and get some squirrel hunting. Have Shoot'n-Stix for the 10lb rifle. Gamo Hunter Extreme

I have the gamo varmint hunter. It has the 4x32 scope & laser sites. It shoots the alloy pellets at 1200fps.I kill squirrels in my yard all the time with it.The model you are getting is much more powerful & I bet it shoots great. I got mine for my birthday. I would have gotten the one you mentioned if I'd bought it but I'm happy with the one I have. I killed a 25 lb coon with it at about 50 yds. I shot him in the eye & he dropped on the spot.

If yall can find the pellets with the steel ball in the tip, they are bad. They will slam a tree rat or rabbit.
