On Friday we got another 6 inches of snow, on top of the 13 we just got, and I had to work the weekend . So I went out this morning at 5:30 checking for so new tracks, and spoted a coyote out in a field mousing around 6:00. So I kept driving down the section to take up a postion to call, but the wind was wrong, so drove back to were I spoted him first. When I got there, there was Two coyotes, and know they spotted me. They headed away over the hill from me, so I got around to the after side of the section on top of a hill and park over looking the big field, and was able to spot them as they layed down in the middle. I then called a hunting partner to help out on these two. He got there and I set him up to take them as I would walk them to him, but the wind chage again and they smelled him walker in, and headed to me. The first one to run by is the one I got, and the second one was really dark and BIG, but that one turn after hereing me shoot and went in a total diffrent direction, and never gave us a shot. But here are a couple pics I took of the one I got. The little guy in the pic is my son, holding my new toy, the Winchester model 70 Coyote Lite in 22-250.   |

it looks worse then it really was, the shots were way to close, only about 25yrds, but I had to wait for safe and clear shooting

I been having a hard time finding someone with that exact rifle. I currently have one on layaway (same caliber). What kind of shooter is it out of the box? Did you do any mods to it? Any dislikes?Thanks in advance!

adam sorry it took so long for me to reply. The Gun is great, the only thing I have had done to it is the trigger work. it is the same trigger that is comes with, I just got the trigger pull set down. It was very good out of the box, and no dislikes

Well finally got around to a base and rings. That was fun. I ordered a Ken Farrell 1 piece base and Burris Signature Zee rings. Base was wrong and I ordered rings that were too high. Today i took a trip to one of the local gun shops and fought hell trying to find a base to fit. We tried every Leupold base he had in stock with no luck. On top of that, we tried the one that Leupold lists on their website. Because I am going on a trip on the 10th I had to settle for some sh*! Millet. So I got to ask, what base did you use? Thanks.....Adam
