well i'm sittin' in my blind and nothing is happening....i'm gettin' all comfy waitin' to hear a gobble when i look up and this gobbler's headin' in to my decoy...he proceeds to attack my decoy...a jake....and then strutted once before i dropped him.
he weighed 16.5lbs.
had a 9 1/4in. beard
one spur was a lil over an inch and the other was broke but was still almost an inch.
another thing is that it had funky feet....one looked like a ball and the other had this alien lookin' et head thing going on.....guess the freak zone's still livin' up to it's name....gotta love it.
i'll get pics up in the next day or so but i'm huntin' again tomorrow with my bow and then i have to go to work...it'll probably be monday.
as i was bringin' my bird out hm called and wanted to use my permit....she wasn't in the woods ten minutes befroe the phones were ringin' and she was whoo whooin'....she got a 14.5lb,6in.,almost one inch spurs.
today's the first time we've ever both got a turkey on the same day...it was way cool.
