Heaviest bird that you have seen harvested? Not heard of but actually seen. I have seen a buddy in New York state take a 28# Eastern. That was a huge bird looked like a 50 gallon drum strutting across the field  |

i think my nephew's bird was 21lbs....i'll have to ask him.....didn't see it in person but saw pics of him and the bird....great bird but i think i'd prefer mine to be on public land and not cornfed.

The SC swamp birds are small with 18-19lbs. the normal weight, but with QDM/QTM, we get some larger birds on the Hunt Club. My largest is 21lbs. in the lowcountry and 20lbs. in the midlands. Most average in at 19 lbs....

Covehntr, Very nice birds. Do you hunt public or private lands.?My biggest bird was a 24lb er with an 11 inch beard.
I'll try to find the pic. I havent seen any bigger come out of the woods around here. I shot that one up near the georgia line.

I hunt both public and private lands, love killing public land turkeys.

Biggest one i ever killed was 24#, 10 1/2 inch beard , 1inch and 3/4 spurs . (Public land on lake)
