Finally broke the ice on this deer season this morning and killed a doe. With a couple of misses and one lost deer this year I was begining to have my doubts. This was the opening weekend here in NW Fl. and the first in probably 25years my dad couldn't make it since he was in the hospital. Didn't know if I was gonna get to hunt this weekend with dad being in ICU for the last week and a half most of my time has been spent at the hospital. Well last night he was doing much better and my mom threatened me if I didn't go hunting today. Well I let several smalller does and spikes walk by before this one came out and I put her on the ground. Litterally before I could get out of my stand my cell phone rang and it was my mom telling me they had taken my dad off of the ventilator which had been doing all his breathing and he was breathing fine on his on. Guess the good lord answered 2 prayers this morning.
