In Va. they are trying to pass a bill so that dog owners can not go on private property to retrieve their dogs. As of now we can walk, with out a firearm, and retrieve our dogs without land owner permission. They want to stop this. You can call 1-800-889-0229 and just tell them you appose Bill 2531. I hope yall help. Thanks

I feel for you but we can't do it here in GA either nor should we be allowed to in my opinion. I don't want anybody just coming on my property without my knowledge or permission. However I am a dog hunter myself and if your hounds came on my property I would have no problem with you retrieving your hounds off my land. But I ain't everybody and you have got to repsect your nieghbors land bro. You can't just go on someones property without permission. I personally don't see a problem with or a need for that matter for this law. It is already against the law to trespass.

as a former dog hunter i know what it is like. but in the last 10 years or so people have gotten to where they dont care if their dogs run on your land or not . i didnt want to be associated with this group so i shud of all my dogs and now only still hunt. i own 40+ acres here on my farm that i hunt on. i cant tell the number of times i would be out there and i can hear someones dogs comin from way over yonder and sure enough they come right thru my land. chasin away all of my herd that i am tending. you see i dont just feed during the season i manage all year round. sure they dont belong to me but i figure if i spend the time and resources to try and better the deer quality around here i dont want someone from 20 miles away running their dogs on my land. sorry for the rant!!!. but i just could not help stop it but rather try to enforce it.
