IMHO Dale Earnhardt Jr is and will be the top driver on the NASCAR circuit this year. He is following in his father's footsteps and will become a legend in due time. Check out info on Dale E. Jr. on his sponsor's website. Who do you think the top driver is??

I Hate to say it, but if you're watching it, you'll have to agree... #48 Jimmie Johnson! He's been the most consistant to this point of the year.

I honestly can't stand Jr., But I think he could've benefited from staying in Busch and running a limited Nascar schedule for a couple more years before he joined, Then he would've been untouchable, but luckily he didn't so i don't really view him as a championship threat yet.

I am a diehard #8 fan and my Dodge driver is #9 Casey Kahn who I saw win his first Nascar race at Richmond this past May.

Kahne is a little "P" ant..Can't stand him..he gets all the good things while Jeremy has to suffer...Do you see Kahne up there in the top 10 or Jr for that matter in the race for the chase?? Nope didn't think so! My driver is right now....And I hope that he stays there!!!

I am a big #8 fan, but this year just isnt going his way. Tony Stewart is on fire right now, and I think he is going to have one heck of a shot at winning all the marbles. A lot of the big names are having some tough times. Not necessarily because of lack of talent, but because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I had high hopes for Waltrip this year too, but he cant buy a break for a million bucks.

The question is will any of you watch the race for the chase even without Jr in it??

Darn right I'll watch. Someone has to cheer against 48 and 24. It doesnt matter if your favorite driver wins or not, its still exciting to watch, just more fun when you driver comes out on top.

I have heard that people are not going to watch if Jr doesn't make it in but I don't call that being a true Nascar fan....I will be rooting for Jeremy...LOL..

My boy Busch just lost a fan when he split from Rousch for more $$. I guess I'll be cheering on #6, WOOO PIGS SOOOIE

no pole for Gordo but you are right, he may squeeze into the chase if he can pick up a few wins in the next few races.
This season may bring Jr back down to earth.
