That was definitely a great race to watch. The ending had me standing up and yelling at the t.v. Jr ended up placing alot better than I thought he would all the way until 40 laps from the end. Its a bummer that Michael lost an engine after doing so good, but I think the rest of his season will good.
Im with you FL, Im still bummed that Gordon won, but he did race a good race.

Didn't watch & really don't care. NASCAR is trying to distance itself from their roots all in the name of an almighty dollar. When the fickle corporate yuppies discard NASCAR for the next popular thing, I hope the 'rednecks' NASCAR didn't want around remember.

In order for Nascar to grow in popularity it must expand it's fan base. By doing so it will bring in the corporate yuppies to finance such expansion. Either way it's still the best thing going...
Remember, not too long ago everyone referred to it as Neckcar. Now it makes the top story on SportsCenter.

I don't mind (I even encourage) fans from all walks of life. But, NASCAR wants to cover up it's past & those original fans with it. Last year they banned the sponsor, redneckjunk.com because it might offend someone. Who would it offend? NASCAR, that's who. The confederate flags in the infield embarass NASCAR. The average fan from 15 years ago can't even afford to go to a race today if they can even get a ticket (the corporate sponsors have snatched them all up). Daddy always said. "Dance with the one you came with." NASCAR has decided to leave the one they came with & dance with the popular one that will leave them high & dry when they get bored.
