Who carries one? I carry a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 just in case I run into hogs or wound one. I also keep .357 snake shot with me. In Texas we have snakes year round in some places......like most of the places I go.
I would think that you guys in Canada carry SOMETHING with some bang to it in case of grizzlies.
Anyone else carry in the woods?

Nope,us guys in Canuckistan can't carry a sidearm, they're restricted weapons.I can only shoot mine at certified gun clubs . I've got a Ruger Blackhawk in 357 and it hasn't seen the light of day for a couple years now. When I'm huntin I'm always packin a big bore and haven't had to use but once to protect myself.Last time was over 20 years ago and I had to kill a cougar that wouldn't back down, shot it at less than 15 yards.
